The short version
- Visiting a page involves sending technical information to the services that deliver it.
- Photo effects can upload your image for server-side processing.
- Some features use browser storage; analytics and advertising services can use their own technologies.
You can browse text-based content without choosing to upload a photo. Please read an effect’s instructions before providing an image.
01 Information involved in your visit
Information you choose to provide
Depending on the feature, you may provide quiz answers, a name or birthday, an uploaded image, or other inputs requested on the page. If you contact us, your message can include your email address and any details or attachments you send.
Technical information
Your browser sends information such as an IP address and browser details when it requests a page or file. Hosting, content delivery, analytics and advertising services may also receive information about page requests and interactions.
Information on your device
Certain result features use local storage in your browser. Cookies and similar technologies may also be used by services loaded on the site. Clearing cookies alone may not remove local storage; your browser’s site-data controls cover both.
02 Photos and generated results
Photo effects that require an upload send the selected file to an image-processing service. The service uses the image and the effect’s inputs to generate a result, which the page then retrieves.
Upload only an image you have permission to use. Avoid images containing sensitive information or people who have not agreed to this use.
Processing takes place beyond your browser. Closing the page or deleting your browser history does not, by itself, remove an uploaded file or a processing record. See Data Removal if you want information removed.
03 How information is used
Information is used to deliver pages and results, operate interactive features, understand site use, display advertising where enabled, and address messages or technical problems.
Different features involve different information. Providing a photo for an effect is a separate action from simply reading a quiz page.
04 Services used by the site
The site includes integrations for Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google advertising. The services active on a page depend on the site’s configuration and the feature you use. External image-processing, font and content-delivery services may also receive requests from your browser.
These providers can process information under their own terms and privacy policies. For Google services, see Google’s Privacy Policy and its advertising controls.
Following a link to another website takes you outside this policy. Check that website’s practices before providing information there.
05 Retention and your choices
Information stored in your browser remains subject to your browser settings. Files you download remain wherever you save them until you remove them.
Server-side retention depends on the information and the service processing it. Do not assume that an upload is deleted immediately after a result is generated. Contact us about a particular upload or request using the details described in our removal guide.
- Use browser settings to manage cookies, site data and site permissions.
- Choose not to upload an image, or stop using an effect before submitting its inputs.
- Use the relevant provider’s controls for advertising or other third-party services.
- Request information, correction or deletion where those rights apply to you.
Some choices may affect how a feature works. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law.
06 Children and sensitive information
Quizzes and photo effects should not be used to submit sensitive personal information. If a child has supplied personal information and you are their parent or guardian, contact us with the relevant page link and details needed to identify the concern.
Entertainment results are not medical or psychological assessments. Please don’t use them to make decisions about someone’s health or wellbeing.
Questions about this policy
